Hall, Dotson Garner All-Met Distinction

NEW YORK, N.Y. (Apr. 8, 2016) - On Friday, LIU Post men's basketball junior guard Jared Hall (South Orange, N.J.) and junior forward Greg Dotson (Abington, Pa.) were named to the All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association First and Second Team, respectively.

Hall garnered All-East Coast Conference first-team recognition in 2015-16, after leading the Pioneers in scoring (18.4 ppg) and three-point field-goal percentage (.397) through 30 games.

He placed in the Top-10 in the ECC in seven different statistical categories, as well. Hall made the second-most free throws (133) in the league, while ranking eighth in free-throw percentage (.816).

Furthermore, Hall eclipsed 20 or more points in 14 different contests, and reached double figures in 29 of the 30 games he appeared in.

Dotson, an All-ECC second-team selection, was LIU Post's top rebounder (8.1) and second-leading scorer (15.0 ppg) this past year, in addition to pacing the green and gold in field-goal percentage (.517).

He also recorded a team-leading 10 double-doubles, including a career-best 30-point, 19-rebound performance in a double-overtime game against University of the District of Columbia on Feb. 27.
