Cheerleading and Dance to Team Up For Spirit Day on Jan. 21

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Jan. 4, 2017) - The LIU Post cheerleading and dance teams are joining together to host Spirit Day on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Pratt Recreation Center.

Participants will be asked to arrive at 8:30 a.m. and wear black pants and a plain white tee-shirt.

The cost for each participant is $40, which includes a four-hour basic skills prep clinic, lunch and cheering at the Pioneers' men's basketball game against Saint Anselm at 1 p.m. Group pricing is also available.

Furthermore, the registration fee includes two adult tickets to Saturday's basketball contest.

The clinic participants will be taught multiple sideline cheers and short dance routines to perform at game time, along with learning technique to perform current skills and strive towards new skills.

They will be learning basic technique in motions, jumps, low-level tumbling, low-level stunting and game-day cheerleading and dancing. A maximum of 80 spots are available.

Spirit Day is open to cheerleaders or dancers of any experience and all ages. Please bring payment of cash or check with you on the day of the clinic, along with insurance information.
