2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Teams
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 3, 2016) - The College Sports Information Directors of America announced its 2016 Academic All-District Football Team for Division II on Thursday, and LIU Post senior quarterback
Jeff Kidd (Salem, Ore.) was among those honored.
Kidd, who is now eligible for All-America consideration, owns a 3.38 cumulative grade-point average in International Studies.
On the gridiron, Kidd currently leads the Northeast-10 Conference in completion percentage (66.3) and passing yards per game (249.7). He also ranks third in the league in completions (163) and passing touchdowns (18) and fifth in passing yards (1,748).
Kidd, a three-time NE-10 Offensive Player of the Week selection in 2016, has thrown for 200 or more yards in five of his first seven starts this year. Additionally, he is averaging 52.1 rushing yards per contest with four touchdowns on the ground.
Kidd and the Pioneers return to action Saturday (Nov. 5), when they wrap up the 2016 regular season in North Andover, Mass. at NE-10 foe Merrimack College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
