SAINT LEO, Fla. (Nov. 19, 2016) - Junior
Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) concluded the 2016 cross country season Saturday with a 55th-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships, held at the Abbey Course in Saint Leo.
Williams, who qualified for the national meet for the second time in her LIU Post career, clocked a 21:49.9 in the 6k. It ranks as the second-fastest time in Pioneer history for a 6,000-meter race.
Williams averaged a 5:52 mile, en route to improving on a 170th-place showing in 2014.
