BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2016) - A 19th-minute goal from sophomore forward/midfielder Emily Miller (Bridgewater, N.J.) was all it took Tuesday for the No. 6 LIU Post field hockey team to defeat Bentley University, 1-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference tilt at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.

The victory improved the Pioneers to 12-3 overall and 8-3 against NE-10 opposition. It also extended the green and gold's winning streak to four straight games.

Miller's eventual game-winning goal came off a long pass from senior midfielder/forward Lauren Adamusik (Clark, N.J.). The Bridgewater, N.J. native then drove to the cage and backhanded a shot into the cage for the contest's lone marker.

The Pioneers outshot the Falcons (7-10, 5-6 NE-10) by a 13-3 count in the game. They also earned six penalty corners to Bentley's two.

Between the pipes, LIU Post senior goaltender Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.) stopped the only shot she faced in 70 minutes of work. Her counterpart, Evelyn Schaedel (Burlington, Vt.), made seven saves for the Falcons.

Head Coach Raenee Savin and the Pioneers wrap up the 2016 regular season on Friday (Oct. 28), when they host Franklin Pierce University in an NE-10 showdown at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at 2 p.m.
