Women's Golf Concludes Fall Season at Quechee Division II Challenge

QUECHEE, Vt. (Oct. 24, 2016) 
- On Sunday, the LIU Post women's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2016-17 season with a second-place finish at the Quechee Division II Challenge, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at the Quechee Club.

The Pioneers shot a 56-over 344 for the best aggregate total of the round, amongst Division II programs. Dartmouth College won the tournament with a 33-over 321.

Graduate Hannah Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.) paved the way for the green and gold with a second-place score of 80, finishing only two strokes off the lead.

Sophomores Abby Snidemiller (Apex, N.Y.) and Alanna Jones (Syracuse, N.Y.) shot an 85 and an 88 for an eighth- and 10th-place finish, respectively.

Senior Shelby Townsend (Panora, Iowa) tied for 14th with a 91. Sophomore Natalia Schaefer (St. James, N.Y.) carded a 94, which was good for a 16th-place showing.
