WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2016) - The LIU Post women's golf team recorded a 10th-place finish at the two-day Big Apple Lady Invitational, hosted by Merrimack College at Elmwood Country Club in White Plains.

Graduate Hannah Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.) led the Pioneers with a 39th-place showing. She had an 82 in the opening round, and followed that up with an 87 for a score of 169.

Sophomore Abby Snidemiller (Apex, N.C.) tied for 47th, carding a 177. Freshman Shannon Fox (Holbrook, N.Y.) shot a 184, which was good for a 57th-place effort.

Senior Shelby Townsend (Panora, Iowa) and sophomore Natalia Schaefer (St. James, N.Y.) finished 63rd and 65th, respectively, with scores of 188 and 190.

Head Coach Craig Maerki and his LIU Post squad return to action next weekend (Oct. 22-23), when they wrap up the fall portion of their 2016-17 slate at the Quechee Division II Challenge in Quechee, Vt.
