CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2016) - LIU Post cross country junior Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) has been tabbed as the East Coast Conference Women's Runner of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

It is the sixth time that Williams has received the honor in 2016. Over her three seasons with the Pioneers, she has been selected as the ECC Runner of the Week a total of 11 times.

Last Saturday, Williams clocked a school-record 17:39.5 in the 5k at the Albany Invitational. Her time was good for a third-place finish out of 91 competitors.

Williams and the Pioneers are back in action Saturday (Oct. 22), when they vie for a league title at the East Coast Conference Championships at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester.
