Feliz Honored as NE-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (Oct. 17, 2016) - On Monday, the Northeast-10 Conference gave out its weekly football awards, and LIU Post senior linebacker Nate Feliz (Bronx, N.Y.) was named the league's co-defensive player of the week.

Feliz, who shared the honor with Bentley's Bryan Hardy, recorded a game-high-tying 10 tackles (seven solo, three assist) in Saturday's 30-23 victory at Southern Connecticut. He also had an interception at midfield that led to the Pioneers' second touchdown of the game.

Despite having only played in five games, Feliz ranks fifth on the team in tackles (33) in 2016. Additionally, he is tied for the eighth-most interceptions in the conference with two.

Feliz and his LIU Post side are back in action on Saturday (Oct. 22), when they host NE-10 rival American International College at 1 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium in Brookville, N.Y.
