ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 15, 2016) - Junior
Talya Williams (Schenectady, N.Y.) clocked a school-record 17:39.5 in the 5k on Saturday to lead the LIU Post men's and women's cross country teams at the University at Albany Invitational.
She averaged a 5:41 mile, en route to besting all Division I opposition. Only two competitors from Monroe College posted a better time than Williams, who placed third in the race.

Ashlin Conroy (Syosset, N.Y.) came in 35th (19:19.2). Freshman
Nicolette Agostinacchio (Wantagh, N.Y.) added a 62nd-place run of 20:47.2.
Freshman
Alexandria Okon (Laurel, Md.) crossed at 21:24.1, which was good for 67th place. Sophomore
Kaitie Schillaci (Albany, N.Y.) finished 78th (22:00.3).
For the men, junior

Tyler McGarvey (Babylon, N.Y.) placed 61st (28:03.3) and 64th (28:22.0), respectively.

Kevin Buckley and the Pioneers return to action next Saturday (Oct. 22), when they compete at the East Coast Conference Championships, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester.
