COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 20, 2016) - The LIU Post women's swimming team has recently been ranked 22nd in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division II Top-25 Poll.

The Pioneers opened the New Year last Saturday (Jan. 16) with a dominating 109-94 victory against Siena College. Three different swimmers raced to a pair of first-place finishes in individual events for the green and gold.

Senior Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) recorded top marks of 52.19 and 1:54.81 in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle, respectively. Her 100-free time was also good for an NCAA "B" cut.

Fellow senior Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) bested her opposition in the 100-fly (57.05) and 200 IM (2:12.77), while freshman Eline Swensen (Langhus, Norway) won the 500- (5:14.66) and 1,000-yard (10:39.69) freestyle.

In addition, the group of Brazier, Kwok, senior Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom) and freshman Caitlin Johnstone (Ashburton, New Zealand) clocked an NCAA-provisional 1:42.55 in the 200-yard medley relay.

Head Coach Michael Travers and the Pioneers return to the pool Saturday (Jan. 23), when they square off with Wagner College in a 1 p.m. dual meet at Wagner Pool in Staten Island, N.Y.
