Women's Golf Finishes Third at Dickinson Fall Invite
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 21, 2015) - On Sunday, the LIU Post women's golf team kicked off its second season of competition by placing third out of 13 squads at the Dickinson College Fall Invitational, held at the Colonial Golf & Tennis Club in Harrisburg.
Senior co-captain
Hannah Pohalski (Smithtown, N.Y.) paved the way for the Pioneers. She recorded one birdie and finished sixth overall, shooting an 84 (+12).
Freshman
Abby Snidemiller (Apex, N.C.) led the team's strong rookie contingent with an 88, which was good enough for a share of 10th place overall.
Fellow freshmen
Alanna Jones (Syracuse, N.Y.) and
Natalia Schaefer (St. James, N.Y.), also competing in their first collegiate event, carded a 95 and 101, respectively.
Junior
Shelby Townsend (Panora, Iowa) shot a 103 and graduate
Nokkie Koonvisal (Bangkok, Thailand) finished with a 105.
Head Coach
Tom Kane and his LIU Post team return to action next weekend (Sept. 26-27), when they compete at the Mount Holyoke College Invitational in South Hadley, Mass.
