CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Jul. 27, 2015) - The East Coast Conference revealed the recipients of its Academic Team of Excellence accolades for the 2014-15 season Monday afternoon, and two LIU Post programs were honored.

After much success on the field, the men's and women's soccer teams proved to be just as successful in the classroom. The men took home their third-straight ECC Academic Team of Excellence Award, given to the squad with the highest cumulative grade-point average in their respective sport. The men finished with an overall team GPA of 3.33. The women's soccer team captured its first award with a 3.43 GPA.

"We are very proud of the academic achievements by the teams honored this year as our ECC Academic Teams of Excellence," said ECC Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff. "All of our student-athletes put a great deal of time and effort to developing and succeeding athletically, but just as important, they are also very committed to achieving academically as well as in serving their communities."
