GRAND LAKE, Colo. (May 7, 2015) - The postseason honors continued to pile up for the LIU Post women's lacrosse team Thursday, as six Pioneers earned a spot on the 2015 IWLCA Division II All-North Region roster.

Senior midfielder Jenna Pierro (Holbrook, N.Y.), senior defender Emily Hanifan (Hicksville, N.Y.) and red-shirt sophomore attacker Emily Delaney (Long Valley, N.J.) comprised the green and gold's representation on the first-team. Senior defender Kali Maxwell (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and sophomore attacker Connor Bird (Syosset, N.Y.) got second-team nods, while sophomore attacker Stefani Vagelatos (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) claimed third-team recognition.

Pierro was LIU Post's leading goal-scorer in 2015, netting 55 tallies, en route to earning All-East Coast Conference first-team praise. She also racked up the third-most points in the conference with 75 and picked up a league-best 50 ground balls in the process. Pierro, a two-time IWLCA All-Region honoree, scored 102 goals in her four seasons as a Pioneer.

Hanifan, along with Maxwell, led a defensive unit that held the opposition to the fifth-lowest goals-against average (5.58) in Division II. Hanifan, who was named the ECC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, accumulated 27 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers this season. Maxwell forced the sixth-most turnovers (19) in the league and joined Hanifan on the All-ECC first-team. Additionally, the pair of senior defenders received All-Region notice from the IWLCA for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Delaney was the Pioneers' top point-getter in 2015, totaling 34 goals and 53 assists for 87 points, which rank ninth in the nation. Her 53 helpers are currently sixth-best in Division II and tops in the ECC. Delaney, an All-ECC first-team choice this year, is a first-time IWLCA All-Region selection as well.

Bird, in addition to tallying the fourth-most points (50) on the team, dominated the conference in draw controls, winning a league-best 83 of them. She has led the ECC in draws and landed on the All-ECC second-team in back-to-back years.

Lastly, Vagelatos finished the season tied for the 10th-most points in the conference with 57 (41 G, 16 A). Plus, her 16 assists and 88 shots respectively ranked eighth and ninth in the ECC.
