ELKTON, Md. (Mar. 23, 2015) - Junior
Hannah Pohalski (Huntington, N.Y.) completed the highest individual finish in the young history of the LIU Post women's golf team on Sunday (Mar. 22), placing second in The Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic at Patriots Glen National Golf Club.
Thanks to a snowstorm, the tournament became a one-round shootout, which set the stage for Pohalski to shine. She carded a 12-over par 84, leaving her one stroke behind champion Shannon Weber (Kutztown, Pa.) of Millersville. The junior's round included eight pars, with a streak of seven consecutive pars from holes eight through 14.
Senior
Nokkie Koonvisal (Bangkok, Thailand) recorded a 12th-place finish in the invitational. She
made two pars in scoring a 99. Rounding out the performance of the Pioneers was sophomore
Shelby Townsend (Panora, Iowa), who garnered one par and shot a 103, good for a tie for 16th place.
Head Coach
Tom Kane and the LIU Post women's golf team will next play at the Kutztown Invitational on Apr. 11.
