Indoor Track and Field Races at Armory Invitational
NEW YORK, N.Y. (Feb. 1, 2015) - Three athletes from the LIU Post men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Armory Invitational on Saturday.
The green and gold's efforts were noticed early, as junior Elizabeth Stirling (Wantagh, N.Y.) placed second in the 3,000-meter run on Friday morning. She crossed the finish line at 10:31.69, breaking another Pioneer indoor record in the process. On the men's side, Mike Scott (Fultonville, N.Y.) competed in the same event and finished third, clocking an 8:41.37.
Graduate Dale McDonald (Roosevelt, N.Y.) raced in the 200-meter dash and crossed at a time of 23.11.
LIU Post is back in action at the Ramapo Indoor Select next Saturday (Feb. 7) at 5 p.m. at the New Balance Track and Field Center at the Armory.
