SOUTH HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (Dec. 8, 2015) - The LIU Post men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to action Tuesday at the Bill Ward Invitational, hosted by St. John's University at St. Anthony's High School.
Junior
Stefan Adams (Jamaica, N.Y.) had the Pioneers' best finish of the day, clocking an eighth-place time of 23.43 in the 200-meter dash. Red-shirt sophomore
Kyle Ward (Elizabeth, N.J.) and red-shirt freshman
Kasim Thomas (Bronx, N.Y.) were individually 12th (23.71) and 13th (23.87) in the event.
Thomas also contributed a 12th-place showing (7.33) in the 60-meter dash, while Ward and red-shirt sophomore
Ramel Joseph (Jamaica, N.Y.) placed 17th (7.38) and 19th (7.46), respectively.
For the women, sophomore
Nicolette DeSouza (Stroudsburg, Pa.) posted individual times of 8.48 and 28.65 in the 60- and 200-meter dash, which were good for 14th- and 26th-place finishes. Junior
Kristine Cuartas (Bay Shore, N.Y.) sprinted to respective marks of 8.79 and 28.87 in the same two races.

Pat Slevin and his LIU Post squads return to the track after the New Year, when they compete at the Yale University Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 9 in New Haven, Conn. at 10 a.m.
