PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Nov. 21, 2015) - Senior
Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) clocked an NCAA Division II automatic qualifying time in the 100-yard butterfly on Saturday, as the LIU Post women's swimming team swam at the Frank Elm Invitational, hosted by Rutgers University.
Kwok, who won the 100-fly with a time of 53.62, was also part of a 200-yard medley relay team that finished 12th. Seniors
Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom) and
Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), freshman
Elin Kvarnemar (Varberg, Sweden) and Kwok raced to a 1:46.07, which was good for an NCAA "B" cut.
Sophomore
Laura Bendfeldt (Grosshansdorf, Germany) placed fourth (56.26) in the prelims of the 100-fly and sixth (56.31) in the finals, posting NCAA "B'" cuts in the process.
Jones and Brazier recorded provisional qualifying marks in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the pad at respective fifth- and sixth-place clockings of 56.59 and 56.78.
Following a 10th-place 4:31.50 in the preliminaries, freshman
Karis Fuller (London, England) won the "B" final of the 400-yard individual medley with an NCAA provisional time of 4:26.59.
