Women's Swimming Ranked 16th in First CSCAA Top-25 Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 11, 2015) - The LIU Post women's swimming team earned a No. 16 ranking in the first College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division II Top-25 Poll of 2015-16, released Wednesday afternoon.

The Pioneers, who earned 53 points in the tally, have gotten off to a 1-2 start in dual meets. Senior Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) has twice been named the CollegeSwimming.com Metropolitan Conference Swimmer of the Week.

Queens University of Charlotte topped the poll with 200 points. Drury University (180 points) narrowly edged University of California-San Diego (179 points) for the No. 2 slot. Nova Southeastern University (168 points), Wingate University (167 points) and Grand Valley State University (166 points), separated by a total of two points, individually placed fourth, fifth and sixth in the ledger.

The CSCAA Division II Poll will be released on a monthly basis throughout the 2015-16 campaign, and highlights the 25 best performing NCAA swimming and diving programs in rank order at the time each one is announced.

Head Coach Michael Travers and his LIU Post squad return to the pool Friday (Nov. 13), when they travel to Bronx, N.Y. for a 6 p.m. dual meet at Division I program Fordham University.
