CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 5, 2015) - LIU Post women's tennis freshman Shanice Arthur (Brookville, N.Y.) collected her third East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honor Monday evening, as announced by the league office.

Arthur posted an unblemished 2-0 record at No. 1 singles last week, while boasting a 1-1 mark at second doubles. In singles play, she earned identical 6-2, 6-0 victories over Molloy College's Tatiana Rajaona (Paris, France) and Queens Collge's Sumeera Kamil.(New Delhi, India).

Arthur also paired up with junior Heena Kewalramani (Bangkok, Thailand) to claim their third doubles win of the season last Friday (Oct. 2), an 8-1 win versus Molloy's Emily Rosen (Little Neck, N.Y.) and Krystal Bottone (Wantagh, N.Y.).

Through seven matches in 2015, Arthur currently boasts a team-leading 5-1 record in singles and a 4-3 ledger in doubles.

Arthur and the Pioneers return to action Thursday (Oct. 8), when they travel to Bronxville for a 3:30 p.m. first serve at Concordia College.
