Field Hockey Slotted Fourth in Latest NFHCA Poll
CHANDLER, Ariz. (Sept. 16, 2014) - On Tuesday, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released its latest Division II Top-10 Poll, and LIU Post ranked fourth on the ballot.
In an undefeated opening week, the green and gold scored a combined 13 goals, while holding its opposition to zero shots. Against Dowling on Sept. 9, the Pioneers won by a margin of six goals. Four days later, LIU Post increased its goal-scoring edge to seven at Southern New Hampshire.
Junior forward
Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) spearheaded the Pioneer offense, finding the back of the cage seven times in just two games. She was also good for two assists versus SNHU, and totaled 16 points on the week.
Head Coach
Raenee Savin and the Pioneers are back in action on Friday (Sept. 19), when they travel up to Manchester, N.H. for a 2 p.m. tilt at Saint Anselm.
