Field Hockey to Host Preseason Tournament
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 4, 2014) - After a historic 2013 season, the LIU Post field hockey team will host a preseason tournament and clinic for high school athletes looking to increase skill level and be seen by top coaches.
The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 23 from 1-6 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium at LIU Post. Teams will play 7 v 7 and/or 11 v 11 matches (based on registration). In addition, 2015 and 2016 high school graduates can tour the campus and participate in a roundtable with Pioneer coaches and athletes.
The LIU Post field hockey team had a program-setting year in 2013, including a 21-1 overall record (10-0 NE-10), a Northeast-10 Conference Championship, and an appearance in the NCAA Division II National Championship game against Shippensburg.
