Field Hockey Partakes in Zumbathon For Cancer Awareness
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Apr. 7, 2014) - Members of the LIU Post field hockey team participated in a two-hour Zumbathon last Friday at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, N.Y. All proceeds from the event went to the American Cancer Society.
To take part in the Zumbathon, each player had to donate $5 to aid the charity.
"Zumba is big for the LIU Post field hockey team. Most of the team already participates in Zumba at least once a week in the Pratt," said Head Coach
Raenee Savin (Nesconset, N.Y.). "Participating in the Zumbathon for the American Cancer Society was a great way for the team to get in a hardcore workout that was lots of fun and for a great cause."
