BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 17, 2014) - After collecting three wins last week to improve to 6-0 overall, the LIU Post women's lacrosse team stayed at No. 1 in the IWLCA and Lacrosse Magazine Division II polls, released Monday afternoon.

The Pioneers, who accumulated 223 votes (195 first-place) for the third-straight week, defeated Bentley and Saint Leo on its Spring Break trip to the Sunshine State, before returning to the Northeast and handling Holy Family. Senior attacker Jackie Sileo (Wantagh, N.Y.) exploded offensively for 29 points (12 G, 17 A) in the three games. She also recorded her 300th career assist on Thursday.

The Top-5 in both ledgers remained the same, as Adelphi, Limestone, Lock Haven and Le Moyne retained the No. 2 through No. 5 slots, respectively. West Chester, which opened its 2014 campaign with a 6-5 win over Queens (N.C.), ranked sixth, while Florida Southern skyrocketed from the latter half of the rankings to seventh.

In the IWLCA ledger, Rollins stood pat in eighth, whereas Stonehill dipped two spots to ninth. New Haven climbed three rungs from last week to round out the Top-10. Dowling, following a 14-13 loss to Philadelphia, stumbled from ninth to 14th.

Lacrosse Magazine's tally featured an array of changes. Rollins (No. 8), New Haven (No. 9), Pfeiffer (No. 10) and Queens (N.C.) (No. 11) all moved up at least two notches to their current positions. Lindenwood (Mo.) (No. 12), Dowling (No. 13) and Stonehill (No. 14) each took their fall, by way of one-goal defeats.

LIU Post is back in action Wednesday (Mar. 19), when it hosts East Coast Conference nemesis Mercy at Hickox Field in Brookville, N.Y. The opening draw is slated for 4 p.m.
