Kwok Grabs Bronze in 100-Yard Butterfly

GENEVA, Ohio (Mar. 13, 2014) - Sophomore
Joyce Kwok (Middle Village, N.Y.) earned the LIU Post swimming team's first medal of the 2014 NCAA Division II Swimming Championships Thursday, as she secured a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 53.94.
Also competing in an individual event on the day, junior
Carolin Rademacher (Isernhagen, Germany) finished 13th in the 400-yard individual medley. She touched the pad at 4:23.95, which was just four-tenths of a second off her school record.
In the two relay events of the day, the Pioneers grabbed Top-15 finishes. Juniors
Courtney Delehanty (Oceanport, N.J.) and
Johanna Pettersson (Kungalv, Sweden), along with sophomores
Meghan Brazier (West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) and
Seren Jones (Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom) combined for a 10th-place finish (1:35.13) in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Pettersson and Brazier also took part in the other relay with Kwok and senior
Tamara Garriock (Duncan, British Columbia, Canada). The foursome swam to a 13th-place clocking of 3:48.31 in the 400-yard medley relay.
At the end of the day, the Pioneers moved up three spots into 12th place with 65 total points. Defending champion Drury holds a commanding lead with 246 points. For live results of each day's events, click
