Women's Basketball Set to Host "Think Pink" Night
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 5, 2014) - On Thursday, the LIU Post women's basketball team will host "Think Pink" Night, as the Pioneers take on UDC in an East Coast Conference battle at 5 p.m. at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, N.Y.
All members of the coaching staff will wear pink and the players will sport pink warm-up tee-shirts. During the game, the players will wear pink socks and shoelaces. The night also includes a 50/50 raffle with the proceeds going to cancer research.
In addition to "Think Pink", the game is a Post Pride event. The first 100 students will receive a Post Pride drawstring bag, and whenever a Pioneer hits a three-point shot, the Post Pride team will toss tee-shirts into the crowd. There will be a halftime contest as well for a Post Pride Prize Pack.
