Women's Cross Country Adds Connolly to Fold
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Feb. 15, 2014) - The LIU Post women's cross country team has revealed the signing of
Nicole Connolly (Levittown, N.Y), who will join the squad for the Fall 2014 season.
Head Coach Rob Morris and the women's cross country program are coming off an East Coast Conference Championship in 2013, and are looking to the future with Connolly.
"Nicole is a very accomplished young runner who will instantly be an intricate part of our team, and help defend our ECC Championship title," Morris said. "She is a diverse distance runner whose talents secured her a bid to the New York State meet in [the] cross country championships."
Connolly competed in the New York State Cross Country Championships in November at Elma Meadows Park in Buffalo, N.Y. She qualified for the state championship meet with a third-place individual ranking in Nassau County, after posting her fastest time of the season in the 5k race at the conference championships (19:22).
