BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 4, 2014) - The LIU Post women's golf team took part as active scorers and marshals in the most recent edition of the Nassau Invitational, held at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove.

The tournament is the oldest amateur championship event in the United States, attracting the best players from around the metropolitan area. Members of the Pioneers worked the event and helped to score it as well as check in players and helping out as spotters.

"This was a great event for our team to take part in," said Head Women's Golf Coach Tom Kane (Stony Brook, N.Y.). "The Nassau Invitational is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments not just on Long Island but in the country, as well. To have first-hand experience working the event and being a part of the atmosphere that surrounded the event is truly a wonderful thing to remember."
