BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Nov. 25, 2014) - Highlighted by two Stephanie Ruhle (Wanaque, N.J.) tallies, the LIU Post field hockey squad defeated Adelphi, 3-1, advancing them to the NCAA National Semifinal contest in Louisville, Ky. on Dec. 4. 

First half action commenced early for the Pioneers as Ruhle found the back of the cage off a Lyn-Marie Wilson (Bridgetown, Barbados) assist to give the green and gold an early advantage. At 26:41, Ruhle added another goal to her offensive effort, as she converted a Kaycee Zelkovsky (Lambertville, N.J.) ball past the Panther goalkeeper. At the half, LIU Post led Adelphi 2-0. 

Less than 10 minutes into the second period, Adelphi midfielder Olivia Nowokunski snuck one past goalkeeper Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.), but at 67:08 Zelkovsky answered with a tally, fed by Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.), to cap-off LIU Post's offensive strike. 

The Pioneer attack ripped 12 total shots, while a strong back line allowed the Panthers only four, as Parks added a save to her 15-2 mark. 

Head Coach Raenee Savin and the Pioneers are back in action Thursday, Dec. 4, when they are set to play Stonehill in the NCAA National Semifinal contest in Louisville, Ky.
