Fatichkova Earns All-ECC First-Team Praise
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 24, 2014) - On Friday, junior
Didi Fatchikova (Sofia, Bulgaria) of the LIU Post women's tennis team was tabbed as an All-East Coast Conference first-team selection.
In her first year in Brookville, Fatchikova proved to be a powerful presence in both singles and doubles play for the Pioneers. She compiled a 9-2 singles record during the regular season, winning nine flights in a row from Sept. 5 through Oct. 17. Fatchikova and teammate
Lucie Chrastecka (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic), who was an All-ECC second-team honoree in 2013, sported an 8-1 overall mark as the top doubles tandem for the green and gold.
Fatchikova and the Pioneers have qualified for the ECC Tournament as the No. 4 seed, and will face top-seeded NYIT on Friday in Flushing at 11 a.m.
