MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 21, 2013) - The No. 2 LIU Post men's soccer team wrapped up a five-game road swing Saturday with a 2-1 triumph over Millersville in Millersville, Pa. Graduate midfielder

Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) had the goals for the Pioneers.
Bowen opened the scoring in the contest in the 15th minute, when he fired an 18-yard shot past red-shirt junior goalie Brad Benzing (Baltimore, Md.). That gave LIU Post, which has now won six straight to begin the season (6-0), an early 1-0 lead.
Later in the first half, Austboe got his team-leading seventh tally of the 2013 campaign to extend the visitors' cushion to 2-0. He headed a
Oscar Kjellstrom (Stenungsund, Sweden) cross into the net on the play. The Pioneers would hold that two-goal advantage at the intermission.
During the latter stanza, Millersville (3-2-1) cut the deficit just seven-and-a-half minutes in. Senior forward Andrew Dukes (Glenmoore, Pa.) accounted for the marker.
That was as close as the hosts got though, as LIU Post held on for the one-goal victory. In net, senior keeper
Marco Jorgensen (Copenhagen, Denmark) made one save for the Pioneers. His counterpart, Benzing, registered three stops for the Marauders, who held a 14-13 edge in shots, and a 7-6 margin in corner kicks.

Andreas Lindberg and his LIU Post squad now begin a four-game homestand, starting Wednesday (Sept. 25) versus Philadelphia. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
