Dragon Dubbed Northeast-10 Co-Player of the Week
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. (Sept. 16, 2013) - On Monday, senior forward Carlee Dragon (Bridgewater, N.J.) of the LIU Post field hockey team claimed Northeast-10 Conference Co-Player of the Week recognition. Dragon, who tallied seven points in her first two games, shared the honor with Bentley's Gina Lirange.
She accounted for both assists Wednesday in a season-opening 2-1 overtime win against American International. Three days later, the Bridgewater native registered a pair of goals, along with a helper, in a 5-0 shutout of Saint Anselm.
Dragon currently sports NCAA DIvision II's top assist average (1.5). She also ranks third in points per game (3.5), and is tied for 10th in goals per game (1.0).
Dragon and the Pioneers are back at it Tuesday (Sept. 17) against Adelphi in Garden City, N.Y. Action is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m.
