Men's Soccer Climbs to Third in NSCAA Division II Top-25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Sept. 10, 2013) - After going 2-0 last week to open the 2013 season, the LIU Post men's soccer jumped five spots Tuesday to No. 3 in the latest NSCAA Division II Top-25 Poll.
Lynn maintained the top spot, while Simon Fraser moved up one notch to grab the No. 2 ranking. Flagler and Northeastern State rounded out the Top-5 in this week's tally.
Fellow East Region programs Post and Wilmington, both of which are upcoming opponents for the Pioneers, joined the Top-25 discussion. The Eagles were slotted 12th, with the Wildcats listed 22nd.
Head Coach Andreas Lindberg's LIU Post squad returns to the pitch Thursday (Sept. 12) in a non-conference tilt versus No. 22 Wilmington at the Purple Knight Classic in Bridgeport, Conn. Action is set for a 4 p.m. start.
