Carberry Selected as Daktronics NCAA Division II Regional Player of the Year
ALBANY, N.Y. (March 21, 2013) – LIU Post senior guard
Tobin Carberry (Hamden, Conn) has been named the 2012-13 Daktronics NCAA Division II men's basketball Regional Player of the Year, and earned the top spot on the 2012-13 Daktronics NCAA Division II men's basketball East All-Region team that was selected by NCAA Division II Sports Information Directions from schools and conference offices throughout the region.
Carberry was also selected as the 2012-13 East Coast Conference
player of the year after averaging 18.6 points per game while averaging just under 40 percent from the behind the arc this season. He also was a force on the glass, pulling down 5.8 rebounds per game. He put up double digits in every game this season, topping 20 points 14 times. The senior also ranked 39
th in Division II in scoring and ranked in the top five in the ECC in field goals made, three pointers made and three point percentage.
