KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 25, 2012) - The LIU Post men's soccer team moved up one spots in the NSCAA Division II National poll, claiming the No. 2 spot in this week's rankings, the highest-ever national ranking in program history.

The Pioneers are riding an 8-0 record to open their season, and they are currently ranked ninth in the nation in scoring offense, seventh in total goals, fifth in total points, and along with three other teams, tied for first place in won-lost percentage.  In addition, the Pioneers have outscored their opponents by a 26-8 margin on the season, with nine different Pioneers finding the back of the net.  Sophomore forward Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) ranks eighth in total points, total goals and points per game, and sixth in goals per game.

Head coach Andreas Lindberg and his Pioneers look to continue their unbeaten streak this week as they travel to Saint Thomas Aquinas on Saturday for their only contest of the week.
