ECC Tabs Forgaard as Rookie of the Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2012) - The East Coast Conference released its weekly men's soccer awards and named LIU Post freshman midfielder
Per Forgaard (Stavanger, Norway) the Rookie of the Week.
The No. 17 LIU Post men's soccer team remained unbeaten on the season as they put up two wins this past week. Forgaard scored a goal and added an assist to help the Pioneers, and all of his scoring efforts came against Nyack, as he had a hand in all three goals. He scored the first goal, took a shot that led to an own goal, then assisted on the third goal to help LIU Post to a 3-0 victory over Nyack.
With a 6-0 record overall (1-0) ECC, the Pioneers will play host to rival Dowling College on Wednesday at 4 :30 p.m, followed by a Sunday home contest against Roberts Wesleyan at 2:30 p.m
