Women's Lacrosse Stays at Fifth in IWLCA Poll

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (April 24, 2012) – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its weekly poll, and the C.W. Post women's lacrosse team remains the No. 5 spot in the poll.

The NE-10 continues to lead all conferences as the league has seven ranked teams, starting with No. 1 Adelphi.  LeMoyne sits at No. 4, while New Haven (No. 6) and Stonehill (No. 7) both hold steady; Bentley rounds out the top-10 at No. 10. Merrimack remains at No. 12 and St. Anselm stays at No. 13.

The PSAC has three ranked schools, with West Chester moving up to No. 8 and Lock Haven rising to No. 9. Gannon remains in the rankings for a second consecutive week, moving up to No. 14.

The ECC claims two teams in the top 15; C. W. Post remains at No. 5 and Dowling just misses the top 10 at No. 11. Limestone from the Conference Carolinas moves up No. 4. The two Florida schools remain in the poll, with Rollins rising to No. 2 and Florida Southern holding at No. 14.

C.W. Post is in action next as it travels to West Chester today for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
