Joyner Named To Daktronics Inc. First Team All-Region
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (March 8, 2012) – Senior guard
Felicia Joyner (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) of the C.W. Post women's basketball team was selected to the Daktronics Inc. East Region First Team, as voted on by the region's athletic communications directors.
Joyner, the 2012 East Coast Conference Player of the Year, leads her team in scoring with 17.0 points a game. She has reached double figures in scoring in 28 games and has scored 20 or more on nine occasions.
Bentley University's Lauren Battista was named the region's Player of the Year. Meanwhile two more players from the ECC were recognized as Molloy's Amanda Bartlett and St. Thomas Aquinas' Briana Sloper were recognized to the Second Team.
C.W. Post (21-9, 11-5 ECC) advanced to the NCAA tournament for the second straight year and will face off against Southern Connecticut on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at host Bentley University.
