Joyner Named ECC Player Of The Week
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Feb. 6, 2012) – Senior guard
Felicia Joyner (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) of the C.W. Post women's basketball team was named this week's East Coast Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced this afternoon.
Joyner was .486 (17-35) from field goal range and went 14-16 at the line to average 24.5 points in two games last week. Against NYIT, she shot 7-15 from the field and went 10-11 from the line in the Pioneers' win. Against Bridgeport, she shot .500 (10-20) from the field and scored five of the Pioneers' 10 points in overtime to seal the win.
C.W. Post (16-7, 7-4 ECC) returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 8 against Mercy College. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
