Women's Basketball Ranked Eighth In NCAA East Region
INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 16, 2012) – The NCAA released its first 2011 regional poll and has the C.W. Post women's basketball team ranked eighth in the East region.
In the number one spot is Bentley. ECC members Dowling and District of Columbia are ranked third and fifth respectively.
The Pioneers are 18-8 overall and 9-5 in the East Coast Conference and have won four of their last five games. Senior guard
Felicia Joyner (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.3 points a game. They travel to play at Molloy on Saturday at 1 p.m.
