Allen Earns ECAC Player of the Week

Vaughn Allen (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) continued to bring in the weekly awards today as he was named the ECAC Division II Player of the Week.
Allen averaged 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game to lead the Pioneers to a 2-0 record last weekend, maintaining the team's 7-0 start to East Coast Conference (ECC) play. In an 80-64 win over Queens on Wednesday, the sophomore scored 17 points and grabbed eight boards. Against the University of the District of Columbia on Saturday, Allen scored 23 points and collected 23 rebounds in a 92-85 Pioneers' victory.
He was also named the ECC Player of the Week on Monday for his strong play.
Next on the schedule for the Pioneers will be a conference road matchup with Dowling on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m.
