No. 4 East Stroudsburg Scores Late To Defeat No. 5 Field Hockey, 2-1

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 21, 2010)
– A late goal scored in the 59th minute from senior midfielder Jessica Frantz (Kunkletown, Pa.) broke a 1-1 tie and lifted No. 4 East Stroudsburg over No. 5 C.W. Post, 2-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference field hockey contest Tuesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
East Stroudsburg improves to 6-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play while C.W. Post dips to 4-1 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC.
The Pioneers went ahead early in the game when senior forward Amanda Nann (Hamburg, N.J.) scored her eighth goal of the season unassisted in the eighth minute.
East Stroudsburg evened the score when senior midfielder Kayla Cilenti (Flanders, N.J.) tapped in a pass from senior midfielder Amanda McGuire (Washington, N.J.) and sophomore defender Mical Fink (Fleetwood, Pa.) at 22:47.
Senior goalkeeper Cortney Colern (Barker, N.Y.) made 10 stops in goal for the Pioneers. Junior Maureen Ordnung (Honesdale, Pa.) made two saves for the Warriors.
C.W. Post is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 25 against Mercyhurst College at 9 a.m.
