Women's Basketball Receives Votes In First USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll
LILBURN, Ga. (Nov. 3, 2010)– The year's first USA TODAY ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' poll was released and the C.W. Post women's basketball team received votes.
Arkansas Tech was the top vote getter in the poll after finishing last season sixth overall with a 31-3 record. Defending champion, Emporia, is sixth this season.
C.W. Post, who finished the 2010-11 season with a 20-9 overall record, including a 14-7 mark in the East Coast Conference, is the only member of the conference to receive votes in the poll. The Pioneers were picked as the favorite in the ECC preseason coaches poll. They open their season on Nov. 13 against UMass Lowell at the American International tournament.
