2010-11 Men's Basketball Schedule Announced
BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct. 7, 2010) – C.W. Post head men's basketball coach Chris Casey announced the schedule for the upcoming 2010-11 season.
The 28-game slate includes seven non-conference matches with 21 East Coast Conference games. Among the highlights include a nationally televised game on the CBS College Sports Network against conference foe University of Bridgeport on Feb. 26.
The Pioneers open the season on the road at the Stonehill Tournament and will face Northeast-10 members Saint Michael's College on Nov. 12 and Stonehill on Nov. 13. They will resume action on Nov. 28 when they travel to play at Post University.
The first home contest of the season will be on Nov. 30 against CACC opponent Bloomfield College. From there, the Pioneers will play the next five of six games on the road, beginning with their open conference at Mercy College on Dec. 1 and wrapping up with non-conference match ups against Le Moyne College (Dec. 19) and Southern New Hampshire University (Dec. 30).
C.W. Post will return to the Pratt Recreation Center to begin the New Year hosting a repeat match against Post University on Jan. 2.
The Pioneers will return to conference play with an away contest at St. Thomas Aquinas on Jan. 5.
The East Coast Conference Championships will begin with the quarterfinal round hosted by the higher seeds on March 2. The semifinal and final rounds will follow on March 5-6 at Bridgeport.
