BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2008) -

The win improves Mercyhurst to 2-3 overall while the Pioneers slip to 4-2.

The Lakers outshot the Pioneers by a 14-3 count and held a 4-3 edge in corners.

Sophomore goalkeeper Cortney Colern (Barker, N.Y.) made eight saves in the cage for the Pioneers, while her counterpart Jen Macri needed only one save to record the shutout.
