Women's Basketball Picked Second In ECC Preseason Poll

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Oct. 23, 2008) – The East Coast Conference released its preseason women's basketball poll and has tabbed C.W. Post second in the 10-team poll.
 
Molloy College, who won the ECC Championship tournament last season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament with a win over New Haven, was selected first. Molloy's junior and 2008 ECC Player of the Year Kymira Woodberry was voted the Preseason Player of the Year.
 
The Pioneers finished third in the conference with a 17-12 overall record and 13-7 mark in the conference in 2007-08.  They return this season under the guidance of new head coach Deirdre Moore, who previously served as the assistant coach at C.W. Post.
