Field Hockey Drops 4-0 Decision to Shippensburg University

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Oct, 11, 2008)- Natalie Faith scored three goals to lead No. 3 Shippensburg to a 4-0 win over ninth ranked C.W. Post Saturday afternoon. Faith had a hand in all four goals for the Raiders as they improved their record to 11-3, while the Pioneers fall to 8-6.
Shippensburg began their scoring rally early in the first half as Natalie Faith scored her first of three goals off an assist from teammate Carolyn Swift.  Shippensburg found the back of the net five minutes later as Dani Haas scored off an assist from Faith. The Pioneers held Shippensburg scoreless for the remainder of the first half.
Natalie Faith struck again at the 48:29 mark, as she took sophomore Pioneer goalkeeper Cortney Colern (Barker, N.Y.) one on one to the net. Faith rounded out her hat trick 14 minutes later as she redirected another pass from Carolyn swift into the right corner.
Junior Krystal Napolitano (Coram, N.Y.) and sophomore Amanda Nann (Hamburg, N.J.) each posted two goals on net in an attempt to rally back the Pioneers.
Keeper Cortney Colern (Barker, N.Y.) made five saves for C.W. Post in net.
The Pioneers take the field again as they travel to Kutztown University on October 14 to take on the Golden Bears under the lights at 7 p.m.
