Stephanie Sheehan completed her first year as head coach of the LIU Post volleyball team fin 2018.

She helped lead the Pioneers to an ECC Tournament berth, a 19-13 overall record and a 9-5 record in conference play. Under her guidance four Pioneers were honored with ECC postseason awards in 2018 ; senior Rachel Londot was named ECC-All Conference First Team, sophomore Lauren Kloos was named ECC-All Conference Second Team while juniors Kassie Akouri-Tejedor and Abby Eckhardt were named ECC All-Conference Honorable Mention.  Under Sheehan's tutelage the Pioneers finished fourth in the nation in service aces with 259 and sixth in the nation in service aces per set with 2.18
 
Sheehan joined the Pioneer coaching staff as an assistant during the 2017 season, helping to lead LIU Post to an NCAA Division II East Regional appearance. Before coming to LIU Post, she was an assistant coach for two seasons at East Coast Conference rival Molloy College in 2015 and 2016. Outside of her collegiate coaching experience, Sheehan served as the head volleyball coach at the Island Volleyball Academy.
 
As a player, Sheehan was a four-year member of the Merrimack College volleyball team where she earned All-Northeast-10 Conference accolades three times during her career. Along with the all-conference recognition, the American Volleyball Coaches Association named her to the All-East Region squad in 2013. Her 1,527 career kills rank second all-time for the Warriors.
 
Along with her duties as the head volleyball coach, Sheehan works as a Success Coach for LIU Promise.
