Jamie Loeb is in his fifth year as an assistant coach with the LIU Post baseball team. His wealth of knowledge in baseball includes 20 years of coaching at various levels and three years of scouting for the Chicago White Sox.
Loeb previously worked for NYIT in 2009 as an assistant coach, where he was in charge of batting practice.
Prior to coaching with the Bears, he managed the baseball team at Holy Cross High School in Flushing for nine seasons. Additionally, he worked as a coach with the Bayside Yankees, a travel team for elite baseball players ages 13-18. Loeb still works as a roving instructor for the team, as well.
Loeb's work at the major league level saw him travel across the country to scout potential major league level players. He threw batting practice to the prospects as the associate scout for the White Sox. Loeb has maintained his position as an instructor at the prestigious New York Baseball Academy, where he is the head hitting and fielding instructor. Moreover, he is a specialist in throwing batting practice for hitters at any level.
Loeb resides in College Point with his wife, Karen. He has one daughter, Christy, and one son, Peter. His son was a first-team All-ECC performer at Molloy College.
