Paul Tuomey enters his first season with the LIU Post men’s basketball program as an assistant coach/video coordinator.
Tuomey comes to LIU Post with diverse experience that most recently concludes a six-year career on Wall Street, and a prior stint as a head coach with the nationally recognized Long Island Lightning AAU program.
Tuomey’s coaching experience also extends to working many distinguished summer basketball camps such as Hoop Group Elite and Five-Star Basketball Camp, along with those sponsored by notable college coaches such as Bill Self, Tom Pecora, and Mike Rice.
As a former player and student-athlete, at Dominican College, Tuomey had a successful career for the Chargers that saw him earn CACC All-Academic honors as well as team MVP accolades.
Tuomey also played under the legendary Coach Jack Curran at Archbishop Molloy High School from 1998-2002, on a talented team that held a #6 ranking in the pre-season poll of USA Today in his senior season with the Stanners.
Tuomey graduated from Dominican College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, and currently resides in his native Emont, N.Y.
